Piggy Bank Pigs
It's a Bonus Day! Two posts in one afternoon. :)
Here are my Piggy Bank Pigs that my Kinders LOVE! I purchased some coin stickers and these took just a few minutes to put together and laminate. It's a great way to differentiate! Throw some big coin combinations in for those Kinders who really know their coins. On the larger pig put the coin stickers and the smaller pig, put the amounts. Lay out all of the pigs and see if they can add the coin combinations and find the matching piglet. Enjoy!

Big Bunnies :)
I'll have to admit I've been a little busy since Spring Break and I've neglected my blog. Here's a sweet little project we made this week for Centers. I LOVE this art project and I hope you do too! Christie and I made these when we taught together in Minnesota. The eyes are white plastic spoons. :) Happy Easter!

It's that Time of Year... Boo-Boo's and Band-Aids!
Hi Friends!
My favorite teacher friend, Christie, asked me to send her my Band-Aid Book idea. I found this idea from someone and created my own class book from it. We read Scratches and Scrapes by Margo Linn. Then we take time listening to our friends tell about a time they fell down and got a "boo-boo." They love sharing, so this is sooo fun for them. We then draw a picture of their "owie" and they write it in the class book. Here are some pictures from my Band-Aid book.

Bunny Adding
Hi Friends! It's my first blog and first post ever! Here's a Math station I created for addition. In each baggie are the bunny and the correct amount of carrots. The children will show the different ways the bunny can carry that amount of carrots in her paws. They will then write the addition sentence. They will take turns with their partner to come up with as many different addition sentences for this one baggie before trying the next bunny bag. ( ex: 4 + 1 = 5, 5+0=5, 3 +2=5, etc.)
Addition Sentence: 2 + 3 = 5 I also have a recording sheet that I'll post soon. Have fun and Happy Spring! - Megan :) |
